Eating to make a change

Nutrition is a very broad and sometimes confusing topic. Here's my take on why most people don't change the way the would like to.

Eating Junk, Eating Healthy or Eating Goal Specific

Eating junk is what most of us do on a daily basis which is why the US population is said to be over 65% obese. That equates to be roughly 195 million people, now I don't know if you realize but that's a vast majority of the population.

Eating Healthy is the next largest category and this group consists of the people that try to cut out the sugars, excess fat, sodas, fried foods, etc.

Eating Goal Specific is eating towards your desired goal. While eating healthy is a good thing, it doesn't guarantee that because you eat healthier your body is going to change accordingly. If your goal is to put on more lean mass then you have to make sure your portions are indicative of such. The same holds true if you're trying to be leaner or maintain your weight.

In order for your body to change ideally, you need to make sure you have the proper combination of the following:

Protein, Carbohydrate, Fat, Water, Vitamins and Minerals included in our diet.

So which category are you?

Do you know the proper combination required for your desired changes?
